BUILDING REGULATIONS
Spiral Staircases are governed by Building Regulations and we advise you check with local building control for their specific requirements before purchase.
It is your responsibility that you have obtained the relevant approval for the spiral staircase and have chosen the appropriate diameter for the application.
Building regulations are for guidance and can be interpreted differently by individual building control departments. Your local authority has the deciding say in approving the spiral in the relevant setting and the diameter required, so please confirm them with before purchase.
DELIVERY AND VAT
All prices displayed on this website include vat and delivery to mainland UK. Should you require delivery to the highlands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland, please get in touch with us directly and will advise on the cost.
DELIVERY TIMES
These stairs are all sourced from Italy. Delivery periods are between 5 – 7 weeks from order. This includes a week for transit time. We will advise you on approximate delivery dates as soon as we are made aware.
Of course we aim to deliver the good within the times stated but occasionally delays occur which are beyond our control. Therefore, we cannot guarantee delivery dates. Spiral Stair Systems will not be liable for any costs incurred by the client for any delays caused by extreme scenarios including war, terrorism, strikes, acts of God, traffic delays and vehicle breakdowns.
The suppliers will close for most of August and the Christmas / New Year period, so deliveries will be affected accordingly during this period.
DAY OF DELIVERY
We will give you a tracking link when the staircase leaves the factory so it’s progress can be monitored. When the stair arrives in the central depot, it must be delivered within 5 working days as they do not have storage facilities. The transport company will charge storage for any longer period and those costs will be passed on. The transport company will call you directly to arrange a suitable day for delivery. The staircases arrive in a palletised box and will be lowered from the vehicle with a tail-lift.
- Please ensure you are present on the day of delivery.
- Check the outer packaging for any transport damage. If any is visible, please ensure you sign for the consignment ‘damaged packaging’ and inspect the goods inside straight away.
- Regardless of whether you are installing the stair straight away or later, it your responsibility to check the staircase upon delivery and inform us or any damage or missing parts.
- We will of course replace any damaged parts or supply missing elements providing the above conditions are met.
REFUNDS / RETURNS
Whilst in kit form, all the spiral staircases supplied on this site are not off the shelf items. They are hand-picked to order and therefore are considered ‘custom made’ or ‘bespoke’. Therefore refunds or returns are not applicable.
