The spiral staircase was supplied to a new shop in the Mailbox Centre in Manchester.  The requirement was for a simple yet effective flight which was going to be a focal point without costing the earth.  The store was supplying designer beds so they didn’t want attention focused on the spiral!

We went for a chequer plate steel tread, a simple steel handrail and four horizontal bars wrapping around the spiral.  The flight was powder coated to match some of the other fixtures in the shop and we continued the landing balustrade around the circular opening upstairs.
